Prince Of Lilies/Rockford Split 7 " record
Sounding like they could have come out of Seattle in the 90s, Prince Of Lilies are busting out raw, distorted, four-chord epics equal parts old school and new. Described by the UK press as “Nirvana meets Hüsker Dü”, Prince Of Lilies takes contemporary indie rock and gives it a well deserved punch in the face leaving it bloodied, raw and stunned - replacing the smug self awareness with an injection of rock n roll spirit.
Rockford is everything a rock band should be. Borrowing heavily from Seattle grunge legends Soundgarden, Pearl Jam, and Alice In Chains, this three-piece from the rainy and damp lowlands town of Klundert, Netherlands is a step forward for heavy, grinding, slow-riffing detuned Stoner rock that’s as Pop as The Beatles. One listen to their songs and you’ll be singing their lyrics unknowingly.
Coloured vinyl for Mailorder folk. 300 copies only made. Limited edition. Stay tuned for more Grunge Pop Records vinyl releases. More chaos to come…
